Sagami Railway
Product Design Centerは、相模鉄道の100周年を記念するブランドアッププロジェクトにおいて、プロダクトデザイナーとして重要な役割を果たしました。『相鉄9000系』のリニューアルや『相鉄20000系』『相鉄12000系』のデザインを手掛けるだけでなく、吊り革や駅のベンチ、プラットフォームの照明器具など、鉄道車両以外のアイテムのデザインにも注力しています。この成果は、相模鉄道20000系のデザインがその年に発表された通勤車両で最も権威のあるローレル賞を受賞するなど、高く評価されています。
Product Design Center played a pivotal role as a product designer in the brand enhancement project for Sagami Railway's 100th anniversary. Not only did we handle the renewal of the 'Sotetsu 9000 series' and the design of the 'Sotetsu 20000 series' and 'Sotetsu 12000 series', but we also focused on designing non-vehicle items such as hand straps, benches for stations, and lighting fixtures for platforms. This effort was highly recognized, with the design of the Sagami Railway 20000 series winning the prestigious Laurel Award for the most outstanding commuter train design released that year.
