プロダクトデザイナー・クリエイティブディレクター
「PRODUCT DESIGN CENTER」代表。1982年愛知県生まれ。古美術収集家の祖父の影響で幼少よりものづくりを開始。2006年多摩美術大学プロダクトデザイン専攻卒業。100年後にも残るデザインを目指し、日用品から家具、鉄道車両まで多岐にわたるプロダクトデザインを手がける。さらに素材開発、工芸作家やラグジュアリーブランドとの協業、都市計画のクリエイティブデザインまで、「未来の遺産」を創造するという理念のもと活動を続ける。国内外で多くの賞を受賞。

2009–2011 | プロダクトデザイナーとしてイワサキデザインスタジオ在籍。
2012｜PRODUCT DESIGN CENTER（PDC）を設立。同年、THE株式会社を共同設立し〈THE〉を展開。
2015–2017 | グッドデザイン賞最年少審査委員を歴任。
2016 | HUBLOT DESIGN PRIZE ファイナリスト（アジア人初）。
2018 | 初個展〈LINE by Keita Suzuki〉を柳宗理記念デザイン研究所で開催。
2019 | 《相模鉄道20000系》デザインで日本鉄道友の会「ローレル賞」受賞。
2020 | Elle Décor Japan “Young Japanese Design Talent” に選出。
2021–2024 | 活動領域が「プロダクト／クラフト」から「プロジェクト／ブランディング」まで大幅に拡張。

Keita Suzuki is a Japanese product designer and creative director whose work ranges from artisanal objects to public‐scale mobility and urban branding. Guided by the credo “Future Heritage”—creating designs that endure culturally as well as functionally—he leads multidisciplinary teams in Japan and abroad, blending craft lineage with advanced technology.
Biography
1982 | Born in Aichi, Japan. Inspired early by a grandfather who collected antiques, cultivating a love of craft and design.
2006 | Graduated B.A. Product Design, Tama Art University. Joined NEC Design, working on UX and housing for consumer electronics.
2008 | Won the Tokyo Midtown Award Special Jury Prize with Fujiyama Glass, later mass-produced and still a long-seller worldwide.
2009 – 2011 | Product designer at Iwasaki Design Studio, covering furniture, lighting, and transport interiors.
2012 | Founded PRODUCT DESIGN CENTER (PDC). In the same year co-founded THE Inc., launching the THE series that redefines everyday archetypes.
2015 – 2017 | Served as the youngest juror in the history of the Good Design Award.
2016 | First Asian finalist for the HUBLOT Design Prize.
2018 | Held first solo exhibition, LINE by Keita Suzuki, at the Yanagi Sori Memorial Design Laboratory.
2019 | Design of the Sotetsu Railway 20000 Series received the Laurel Prize from the Japan Railfan Club.
2020 | Named “Young Japanese Design Talent” by Elle Décor Japan.
2021 – 2024 | Practice expanded from “Product / Craft” to large-scale projects and brand strategy, spanning mobility, urban redevelopment, and tech-craft collaborations.
